The size difference

Mara-side crossings happen on the Kenya side for roughly 60% of season days, Tanzania side for 40%. Either works — our Kenya-side drivers tell us Tanzania-side crossings are less crowded.
Where Kenya wins
The Mara has better lodge infrastructure per square km (smaller park, same number of camps). The Mara's big cat density is comparable. Kenya's general tourism is smoother.
Where Tanzania wins
Size, silence, and the combination with Ngorongoro and Kilimanjaro. The Tanzania Serengeti-Ngorongoro-Kili trifecta has no Kenya equivalent.
